Nada queda al azar./Nothing is left to chance.

Nada queda al azar.

Nada queda al azar,

ni el vuelo de las aves

bosquejando el canto

de la vida,

Ni el encabritado flujo

del mar besando las arenas,

Ni los sonidos de la noche

en el coro silente de las

sombras.

Ni el torrente de los ríos

conectando tierras y mares

Nothing is left to chance.

Nothing is left to chance

nor the flight of birds

sketching the song

of the life,

Nor the rearing flow

of the sea kissing the sands,

Nor the sounds of the night

in the silent chorus of

shades.

Nor the torrent of rivers

connecting lands and seas

Nor the light of the stars

opening its doors to

the meeting of the mysteries,

Nor the rains hitting

the roof of the populations,

Nor the eternal bustle of the hands

making daily bread.

Nothing is left to chance

Nor the swing of the leaves

in his eternal romp with the wind,

Nor the dreams of men

who build better tomorrows,

Nor the furrows of the earth

devouring the seeds,

Nor the green of the cultivation of the fields,

nor the majestic shadow of the mountains,

nor the gallop of the horses

cutting the distance of the afternoons.

Nothing is left to chance

nor the eyes that look at the horizon,

or the old man with his weary step

dodging the bumps in the road,

or the sun in its daily maneuver

to give peace and light to the inhabitants

Of goodwill,

or the mysterious moon half hidden

between clouds and shadows calling

the dreamers to sign up

in the circle of dreams.

Agua/ Water.

Agua.

Desde el hontanar de tu vientre

fluyes como el viento libre,

igual a la luz del sol

besando los pétalos de las flores,

tu surco lleva el húmedo sabor

de las lluvias,

y el relente de la noche acaricia

el rostro ajado del aguador.

Algunos temerarios ladrones

clandestinas usurpando tu libre

viaje entre el palpitar vertiginoso

de las venas secretas

que te llevan a las callosas manos

de los labradores,

las lágrimas derramadas

por cientos de pupilas no podrán

hacer brotar los yermos que un día

fueron el vergel y la vida,

 los arbustos ven llegar

su muerte en los páramos sedientos,

los pájaros naufragan en sus embates

con la calina de los días

zozobrando en la angustia.

Desde lo más profundo de los corazones

nuestra gente aúlla a los cuatro vientos

y recogiendo el llanto de las estrellas

claman por el regalo de la pachamama

el elemento que purifica todo

el agua lo mas sagrado.

Water.

From the depths of your belly

you flow like the free wind,

equal to sunlight

kissing the flower petals,

your groove carries the wet taste

of the rains,

and the cool of the night caresses

the withered face of the water carrier.

Some reckless thieves

they have subdued your torrent

taking it to other spaces,

now the kids can't get wet

his feet in the wet sap of the rivers,

withered the earth opens its skin

begging for moisture

that under spells has to return.

They take you through tunnels and pipes

clandestine usurping your free

journey through the dizzying throb

of the secret veins

that lead you to calloused hands

of the farmers,

the shed tears

for hundreds of pupils they will not be able

make the wastelands sprout that one day

were the orchard and life,

 the bushes come

his death on the thirsty moors,

the birds are shipwrecked in their attacks

with the haze of the days

capsizing in anguish.

From the depths of hearts

our people howl to the four winds

and collecting the cry of the stars

They cry out for the gift of pachamama

the element that purifies everything

water the most sacred.

Guitarra y muerte./ Guitar and death.

Guitarra y muerte.

 Guitar and death.

The guitar is disguised with silence
collecting the melancholy chords
of our soul mates who have gone
trying to navigate the rivers that will take
to other destinations, or take the ladders
where they will reached the meadows
cheerful and hearty desires

The guitar picks chords
from death rites
and on the night of November first
covered with their melodies
the bodies of those forgotten
over time.

Others drink the morning dew
deposited in the strings
which becomes liquor
that purifies the transfer of dreams.

The guitar that night
transformed into the bird of eternal return
will transport the souls abandoned
on their wings, moving away from the humdrum
the ephemeral nature of life.

Alma/ Soul

Alma.

Viajaré a esa distancia

donde el alma se recoge

transformándose en una

minúscula esfera,

donde los ojos son un

reflejo de las nebulosas

pérdidas en el infinito,

donde la piel pierde su

significado al dejar

de cubrir mi desnudez

en lo añejo de sus huellas.

Trataré de volver

a la hora de la cena

para contarte de las formas

que vi,

viajando entre

nubes de arena

de esas estrellas disueltas

por los sueños,

y de los colores que

extraños y desaforados

tratan de escapar

a las feroces fauces de dioses

termonucleares

que lentamente van devorando

en un bostezo infinito

pensamientos y planetas.

El polvo acumulado en los estantes

ha dejado una huella

de desazones y dudas,

mi alma, creo que divaga

entre la comisura de tus labios

y en nuestros sexos triturados,

así, viajaré a esa distancia

donde el alma se recoge

transformándose en una

minúscula esfera.

Soul.

I will travel that distance

where the soul gathers

transforming into a

tiny sphere,

where the eyes are a

reflection of the nebulae

lost in infinity,

where the skin loses its

meaning when leaving

to cover my nakedness

in the age of their tracks.

I will try to go back

at dinner's time

to tell you about the ways

what I saw,

traveling between

sand clouds

of those dissolved stars

for dreams,

and the colors that

strange and wild

they try to escape

to the fierce jaws of gods

thermonuclear

that slowly devour

in an infinite yawn

thoughts and planets.

Accumulated dust on the shelves

has left a mark

of troubles and doubts,

my soul, I think it wanders

between the corner of your lips

and in our crushed sexes,

well, I will travel that distance

where the soul gathers

transforming into a

tiny sphere.

Se desvanece/ It disappears.

Se desvanece.

el día se desvanece,

el calor lo retuerce entre el fuego

incandescente de sus dedos,

el trino de los pájaros

son aplastados de golpe

con el chasquido de la roja

lengua de un viento mezquino.

el día se rompe en mil pedazos

de trozos luminiscentes,

encegueciendo esas mariposas

que osaron volar mi entorno,

solo quedan remanentes

los reflejos de luz pegados

a las hojas.

el día ha capitulado

al reino de las risas,

al caminar cadencioso de los gatos,

al ruido lejano del viento

golpeando los antiguos doseles,

al estridente golpe de un martillo lejano,

al jadeo de mis pasos cansinos,

El día se desvanece

entre mis dedos al tratar de asirlo,

no pude meterlo en el bolso

de mis tesoros,

se escabullo entre el silencio

de las sombras.

It disappears.

the day is fading,

the heat twists it in the fire

incandescent of his fingers,

the trill of the birds

are crushed at once

with the snap of the red

tongue of a mean wind.

the day breaks into a thousand pieces

of luminescent pieces,

blinding those butterflies

who dared to blow up my environment,

only remnants remain

the light reflections stuck

to the leaves.

the day has capitulated

to the kingdom of laughter,

the cadenced walk of cats,

to the distant noise of the wind

hitting the ancient canopies,

to the strident blow of a distant hammer,

at the gasp of my weary steps,

The day is fading

between my fingers trying to grab it,

I couldn't put it in my bag

of my treasures,

sneaked into the silence

from the shadows.
