Luz // LIght

Luz.

solidarios.

La luz del alba abre los postigos

postergados de las esperanzas,

de los sueños enviados al destierro,

de los cuerpos desnudos buscando

las vestimentas robadas entre balas y gritos,

luz refulgente que volando de cuello

en cuello colocara las diademas

de las promesas inculcadas en la lucha.

Light.

The light of dawn has come blazing

in the middle of the immense, lavish

laughter of our mothers,

of voices rumbling triumphs

that go up in the flight of birds

the freedom of spaces,

light reflecting faces

calm of our town

light that brings between its beams

the honor of those who died

honoring dignity.

The light of dawn softly

break the night haze

picking up on her fingers

the threads of a homeland

that is renewed

riding in unison

along the path of prodigious avenues

how quickly they will open

sheltered from hands and hearts

solidarity.

The light of dawn opens the shutters

deferred from hopes,

of dreams sent into exile,

of naked bodies searching

the robes stolen between bullets and screams,

shining light that flying from the neck

in neck to put the headbands

of the promises instilled in the struggle.

El reino de los tiempos./The kingdom of the times.

The kingdom of the times.

Will we be able to ride the kingdom of time? Ride bareback

over the demons that rule the moments,

demons that cover the clean gaze of shamans,

we will be able to lift the stellar stairs that will lead us

to the realm of truths,

to the realm of terms,

we will start with hesitant steps to walk

between the embers of the bombardments,

between the death rattle of the survivors,

we will be able to decipher the cursed burst of shrapnel

that skews the lives of ours.

Finally; we will be able to walk the covered roads

through emptiness, through nothingness,

roads wrapped in the haze of doubts that you stealth

cover the landscape of the endless,

of those who fight against the windmills

or of those who carry the armor of errors,

Of ambiguous voices with drums of war

I think we should be able to tear down

the border of lies,

the hypocritical masks of the preachers of fallacies

the false walls built with the blood of the nameless.

Will we be able to build our dreams?

dreams drawn from deep within the earth

dreams that sail from river to river

among the mythologies of our homing birds.

I propose to ride in that Rocinante drawn

on the horizon of every morning.
