Mitos

Mitos

My myths.

I live attached to the land,
I get her dreams,
the roots nourish me
from those trees that during the night
deliver their oneiric cargo,
with the mystic rain of the stars
I wash the feet of the wounded soldiers,
I live attached to the motherly river sediments
that delivered me the clay
with that I build my tools.
I go from the hand of the gods
leaving with each step my sweet verse
nurtured in the pure water of springs,
with my spade hit the ground to
leave the seeds from which my children
simply reap the fruits of the earth.
With pieces of burned wood I trace my drawings
on the smooth surface of the oceans
and the forms will feed the fish,
I turn my eyes to the birth of horizon
from where my parents came by
the road of dawn.

Mas rápido que el viento

Mas rápido que el viento

Realidad.

Reality.
The reality escapes between the screams of pain,
between your eyes lost in the leaves,
between the water that falls from my hand
what reality you tell me, yours already restricted?
from the noise of a squirrel crushed by a wheel.

or mine escaping out of the shadows,
or the shopkeeper ranting of his clients.
It is this reality in the shape of a stone
or the heat escaping through the cracks
or the bullet shattering the soft feathers of a bird
or a drunken scoffing the pedestrians
or the child sits at the subway entrance.
What is reality?
my hands
the shadow of my hopes,
the hammer on my finger,
the voice of my neighbor talking to the cat,
the silent product of the night,
or the oil-stained bodies.
Reality escapes from the screams of pain,
between tears that break in tiny pieces the skin,
between the sweat of those who gather
the core of the earth,
or those pilgrims who tout the
goodness of the soul.

LA POESIA

La poesía es el ojo caliente
del corazón disparado con
violenta benevolencia

POETRY

Poetry is the hot eye
of the heart shot with
violent benevolence
to the defeatist attempts
of the soul.

It is the saliva still warm from the leaves
that regurgitate the reasons
of life.

It is the stubborn rain of the wishes
trying to break the silence
of the night.

It is the swift, silent arrow
trying to penetrate the armor
of the shuns.

It is playful and fearless clarity
agreeing the outrageous
of the fears.

Is the bold stroke of the pupils
to the gross darkness
of the kettledrum foreseeing
the advent of death.

Poetry you are the source that cure
the bad omens of the mythical
monsters sailing
the dreams
you are the wind from the north
whistling the arrival of the truths,
you are the soft skin, with which
I cover my body.

Yemaya

Muralla.

Las uñas ásperas de la noche
descascaráron la vieja
pintura que cubría
la vetusta muralla
donde cientos de miradas
día a día nunca dejaron
de percibir la impúdica luz
de las sombras clamando
por el perdón de los
que una vez fueron fusilados.
La pátina indeleble que
cubrió los crimenes
no quiso ser cómplice,
ya que cada cierto tiempo
los tonos exudados de la muerte
teñian las imperfeciones
iridiscente de su impronta.

los ojos de aquellos
que viajan a diario
nunca dejaron de prestar
atención a la parsimonía
de esos agujeros
que como crucigrama
y en un idioma hermético
indicaban los dolores
de aquella tarde,
entregando a cada uno
un mensaje lleno
de incógnitas.
Las aves ajenas
al dolor hacia tiempo
no detenían
su vuelo en las tejas
ajadas.

Pero la noche, ajena
borraba impertérrita
con la humedad de sus
lágrimas los ojos
aterrados.
