Mas rápido que el viento

Mas rápido que el viento

Realidad.

Reality.
The reality escapes between the screams of pain,
between your eyes lost in the leaves,
between the water that falls from my hand
what reality you tell me, yours already restricted?
from the noise of a squirrel crushed by a wheel.

or mine escaping out of the shadows,
or the shopkeeper ranting of his clients.
It is this reality in the shape of a stone
or the heat escaping through the cracks
or the bullet shattering the soft feathers of a bird
or a drunken scoffing the pedestrians
or the child sits at the subway entrance.
What is reality?
my hands
the shadow of my hopes,
the hammer on my finger,
the voice of my neighbor talking to the cat,
the silent product of the night,
or the oil-stained bodies.
Reality escapes from the screams of pain,
between tears that break in tiny pieces the skin,
between the sweat of those who gather
the core of the earth,
or those pilgrims who tout the
goodness of the soul.

Llevando su sombra

Llevando su sombra

Ruinas.

Ruins.

I decided to go in that old brig

with the purpose to reach these ruins

lost in the sand, where it is the loot

of the scrolls with arcane reasons

from one and some other love worn

in those written pages, which damped

turn around every time the wind touched.

I walk through the cold open corridors between the dunes,

I carry only my memories wrapped up in my throat ,

and my eyes can not distinguish the diffuse textures

in those walls that lead me slowly

with its fading shadow to the vacuum,

my eyes tired have surrendered to the silence

of the nothingness.

I do not know what could be, but a fear runs through my bones

I have to move away, and found that exit that takes me

to the sea of my serenity, to remove the moisture

and fears and take back what little I have to breath,

the ruins are blurred between the dunes wan

that inside carry rattles of those who

The pure silence of the morning.

Now at last I could see the pure silence of the morning playing
with water puddles left by the incipient rain,
just how far he felt stifled the incessant noise
of the mower, the clear sky let alone
the rapid fly of birds running away from the smell of war.
The silence turned into the accomplice of small
rodent that roamed among the damp leaves
of ferns, apart from the shames that covered those beings
poking his crooked eyes on the pure silence
of the morning, I wanted to pick up the smoothness of the vine shoot.
I wanted to soak my face with the subtle movement

of the birds passage, that marking the sky with dreamy drawings
turned away swallowed by the big mouth of the horizon, only stay
the pure silence of the morning wearing all colors
and I, dubitative I believe to understand the silence.

Mandrake.

From the womb of the land germinate
the suggestion of your form wrapped with
the veil of the mysteries without answers.
And that's where time stopped his walk;
the necromancers gathered your image
and brought to the unfinished land
to elucidate the esoteric symbols
that hide in the pleated geometry
of the land they will wait to be found.

Your root wrapped in the copper color
of the earth writhes to the suggestion
the lethargy dreamlike that cover
the mystery of the horizons,
your hands invisible escape
between the sun and the clouds trying to mold
the form of dreams that fly
between my eyes and yours, have been
transform slowly
the hidden beat of our hearts.

From the playful suggestion of your contours
the nights are no longer the silence of the
stars, just the noise imperceptible
of kisses tearing the twilight of the moon.

Roque Dalton

Roque Dalton

A Roque Dalton.

Esos que con cara de piedra,

un día de mayo, te mataron

en el momento del reposo,

solo llevaban en el corazón

el odio del dogma de su

camarilla oportunista.

Tu risa se enreda en la

trama de las madrugadas.

Tus ojos definitivamente

se quedaron enredados

en la cruz del sur,

señalando los caminos

de las verdades,

de la savia pura,

de la risa llana,

de las hojas caidas,

de las manos cuarteadas,

de la voz metálica,

del arado simple

cortando la tierra.

Tu risa se enreda en la

trama de las madrugadas.

Solo el odio parido

de seres desquiciados

arrancaron tus ojos,

porque ellos alumbraban

el camino de las verdades.

Tu risa se enreda en la

trama de las madrugadas.

To Roque Dalton.

Those with stone face
one day in May, kill you
at the time of rest,
carried only in the heart
hatred of the dogma of
their opportunistic clique.
Your laugh becomes entangled in the
weave at dawn.
Your eyes definitely
remained tangled
in the Southern Cross,
signaling the pathways
of truths,
of the pure sap,
of the clear laughter
of the fallen leaves,
of the chapped hands,
of the metallic voice,
of the simple plow
cutting the land.
Your laugh becomes entangled in the
weave at dawn.
Only hatred birth
deranged beings
tore your eyes
because they lit
the path of truth.
Your laugh becomes entangled in the
plot at dawn.

Los pájaros

Los pájaros

Quisiera morir.

I would die.

I would die looking the color of nothing of the sun
and the vortex heat of volcanoes hit my face.
I would die with my feet entangled in the murky silt
that roam the seas.
I would die with my hands buried in the warm vulva of the earth
watching the border erupts in a holocaust of colors.
I would die playing guitar in an afternoon of boredom
and with the echo of their sound transform the parsimony of horizon.
I would die proud staring the murmur of the ocean
and with the clean waters clean the wounds of the of war’s nightmares .
I would die with my hands weaving those legends you create
in that eternal garden where the pain never fit.
I would die in the line of anything savoring the soft
tingling of your body with the whip of the stars.
I would die at the moment when the hummingbirds
in unique act stop the whirlwind of their fluttering.

La semilla

La semilla

Bosquejo.

Se me ha ocurrido trazar

un dibujo entre los árboles

para unir los puntos

disueltos por las lluvias

y darle sentido a mi espíritu

perdido entre las guerras,

pretendo crear líneas

transversales y manos alcanzando

los rostros perdidos en viajes

sin regreso.

Será un bosquejo de elementos

esparcidos en los espacios,

cavernas remotas,

manos cansadas,

ojos avizores,

senos turgentes,

niños degollados,

caridades no cumplidas,

bombas de fragmentos,

sacerdotes voraces,

eucaristias de los torturados,

risas plenas.

Quiero recrear con los colores

sepia de mi vida el majestuoso

movimiento de las montañas

arrancando de las sombra

de la luna,

el sonido de los

grillos,

el aullido atroz

de las leonas en celo,

el arpegio de la arena

golpeando la playa.

Dibujar el entorno de tu cuerpo

para crear los instrumentos

de la vida.

Sketch.

I happened to trace
a drawing among the trees
to join the points
dissolved by the rain
and give a sense to my spirit
lost in between the wars,
I intend to create transverse

lines and hands reaching
the faces lost in travel
without no return.
It will be an outline of elements
scattered in the space,
remote caves,
tired hands,
to keep one’s eyes open,
turgid breasts,
children beheaded,
charities unfulfilled,
bomb of fragments,
predatory priests,
mass of the tortured,
full laughter.
I want to recreate with the colors
sepia from my life the majestic
movement of the mountains
pulling up from the shadow
of the moon,
the sound of
crickets,
appalling howl
of lions in heat,
the arpeggio of the sand
hitting the beach.
Draw the surrounding of your body
to create instruments
of life.

Las tristezas

Las tristezas

Incierto.

Ambiguo es el pausado

caminar de tus salidas,

y de los vagos titubeos

cuando tratas de encontrar

ese camino que regado

de amapolas perfuma

las vetustas murallas.

Ambiguo en el pasado

fue el evocar la dulce

finura de tu piel

recorriendo esos humedales

que en tu cuerpo

eran los diapasones en

el intervalo de los sonidos.

Ambiguo fue el grito

que salió de tu boca el día

que nuestros corazones

encontraron el reposo,

en el momento

cuando la luna tocaba

la cuerda del horizonte

rompiéndola en mil pedazos.

Ambiguo fueron los pasos

de los que en un momento

incierto esparcieron

las zozobras y arrancaron

de cuajo los ojos por

donde el alma se escapó.

Ambiguo es el dulzor

de las estrellas cuando tocan

con su reflejo tus ojos

cerrados por el ensueño,

y tus labios se entreabren

dejando una muesca

agridulce revoloteando

en el aire.

Ambiguo han sido los golpes

de la lluvia sobre el añoso

tejado, nada queda al azar,

el moho teje entre las tejas

la tela que cubrirá a los

diminutos insectos,

es el movimiento paulatino

de tu cuerpo el sentido

de la suma de las cosas.

Uncertain.

Ambiguous is the slow
walk of your departures,

and the vague uncertainly
when you try to find
this way that spread
of poppy perfume
the venerable walls.

Ambiguous in the past
was to evoke the sweet
fineness of your skin
traveling across these wetlands
that in your body
were the tuning forks in
the interval of sounds.

Ambiguous was the cry
that came out of your mouth
the day of our hearts
found the rest, at the moment
when the moon was playing
the string of the horizon
breaking it into pieces.
Ambiguous were the steps
of those in an uncertainty
moment spread
the anxieties and root out
the eyes
from which the soul escaped.

Ambiguous is the sweetness
of the stars when they touch
with their reflection your eyes
closed by the dream,
and your lips half-open
leave a bittersweet notch
fluttering in the air.

Ambiguous have been the hits
of the rain on the aging
roof, nothing is left to chance,
the mold woven between the tiles
the fabric that will cover the
tiny insects,
is the gradual movement
of your body the meaning
of the sum of things.

Rostro

Rostro

Tu mensaje llega lejos.

extranjeras.

Your message goes away.

You have taken flight to find
the distance that separate your eyes of our
eyes, the metallic sound of your voice turn
around the world building the indelible
of the truths, your hair swaying
the north wind that begins to blow where
your directions born.
Your circumnavigate the underground rivers
scattering the warm pattern of the simple things
and bear the demands of the outraged
to the righteous gods of my household gods, without
stop doing routine things, decide
your destiny with the temperance of their hearts.
On this voyage return to recognize the sensual
softness of the deserts, the wet banks of rivers,
the drowsy warmth of the sun warm,
the dense texture of the mountains, and bear
your message of hope to the ends where
evil and death, project the dark
shadow of the killings.
Your eyes break the gloomy calmness of the landscape
transforming that land injury by explosion
that cry the horror of death that in useless rivers
of pain plying between remote landscapes and languages
foreign.

La caida de los dioses

La caida de los dioses

Atravesar.

Te puedo decir que el camino

esta cubierto por la escarcha

nada se divisa solo el

recalcitrante viento helado

de la nada,

intentaré atravesarlo con los

pies desnudos

se que al detenerme ellos

quedarán prisioneros

en la huella helada.

Debo intentarlo con

la mejor de las intenciones,

voy a esperar la llegada

de las sombras y deslizarme

entre los haces de la luna.

Logré cruzar el intrincado

laberinto dibujado entre

los rayos de la luz donde

pude ver tu figura recortada

por el viento.

Te puedo decir que el camino

que muchas veces cruzamos

solo es un recuerdo en nuestras

memorias, solo quedan las viejas

barandas que encerraban nuestros

juegos de niño, traté de decirte

al oido lo mucho que te quiero

pero la barahúnda alejo mi voz.

Cross.

I can tell you the way
is covered with frost
nothing can be seen only
the recalcitrant cold wind
of nowhere,
I will try to cross with
the bare feet
I know when I stop
they will be prisoners
on the ice track.
I try to with
the best of my intentions,
I will wait for
of the shadows and slip
between the beams of the moon.
I managed to cross the intricate
maze drawn between
the rays of light where
I see your figure cut out
by the wind.
I can tell you the way
that we often crossed
is only a remembrance in our
memories, only stay the old
railings which enclosed our
child games, I tried to tell
in your ear how much I love you
but the uproar move away my voice.

Caligrafía

Caligrafía

Viejos deseos.

Se disuelven entre los dedos

tus deseos de besos ardientes,

navegando en esos mares,

con viejos bergantines,

deseos ahogados entre

las arcaicas controversias

de esos que dicen que

se puede y de otros envueltos

en el incienso de enseñanzas

añejas de castigos inquisitoriales.

Esos deseos  se develan

entre las luces que se cuelan

por la mampara,

mientras el calor cubre los platos

desparramado en la mesa,

y tú... con la mirada lánguida

depositada entre los vestigios

de ecos lejanos.

Se disuelven entre los dedos

el almibar de tus besos,

tus labios rozaron los arrecifes,
la arena salada,
los solitarios corales

transformando la geografía

de los océanos, mis viejos deseos

ya han dejado de rondar mis

sueños corroidos por los

recuerdos, quisiera antes

de despedirme poder fijar

tu vista entre las figuras

repartidas en nuestros horizontes.

Old desires.
It dissolve between the fingers
your desire of burning kisses
navigating in those seas,
with old brigs,
wishes drowned between
the archaic disputes
of those who say that
is possible and others involved
in the incense of the stale

teachings of punishment inquisitorial.
These desires are revealed
between the lights that are cast
by the screen,
while the heat cover the plates
scattered on the table
and you ... with languid eyes
deposited between the traces
of distant echo.
It dissolve between the fingers
the syrup of your kisses,
your lips touched the reef,
the salty sand,
the solitary coral
changing the geography
of the oceans, my olds wishes
have ceased to haunt my
dreams corroded by the

memories, I would said
before the goodbye to fix
your eyes between the figures
spread over our horizons.

Diálogo

Díalogo

He vuelto a sentir.

He vuelto a sentir,

He vuelto a sentir,

He vuelto a sentir,

He vuelto a sentir,

I'm again feeling.
I'm again feeling,
your eyes upon my body,
since a long time
I do not see the subtle presence of your
contours backlit against the light

in the sill of the door,
only the outline of your sweet face

some in a while leans in my dreams.
I'm back to feeling,
at the bottom of my chest
the reverberate of the blood and the hot buzz
your voice, sailing in between the leaves of roses
the voice of passion cut the stream
of life with a thud,
the cold in the morning cover my briny hands

that with vain attempts try to touch
yours, my eyes see only
part of your shadow cutting the parched soil.
I'm back to feeling,
those tingling in my ears, when
the sounds freeze giving way to
senseless beating of the heart, carrying me
between the streams of the river invisible to
strange lands full of jellyfishes dozing
between sleepy corpses , I just want
feel the bittersweet sound of your voice cutting
the obtuse lines covering the horizon.
I'm again feeling,
the steps that calmly go through the death leaves
leaving the taste of dust hovering in the air,
only your shadow emerge gracefully

in the slow swinging
from the flight of the pelicans.

Tree leaves.

Are the leaves of the tree that grows lonely
in the immense courtyard of memories
with the only hope that tomorrow
comes loaded with dreams and seeds
that will have to recreate the wrinkled landscape
that disappeared from our eyes in an ephemeral
powerful device of a quack.
They are stubborn leaves that do not leave
this tree full of memories and time
where the sun would drop the smoothness
of his fingers stroking
the gentle hair of my sons that played between
ceramic figures resting
in the old adobe wall,
are leaves descending with the calm
of the time falling into the laziness
of the land.
They are fallen leaves ruined with the constant

blow of the wind, scattered
in the four points which are equidistant
of our distances, carrying the dust
of passed time tangling
among the interweave of curly tissues
of the spiders, their ashen colors
line the narrow path that connects
my places with the hopes that some
day will return dressing serge coloring
the empty branches of the trees.

Chile Herido

Chile herido

The wounds of Chile.

Only the pain drag between the divestment
of a land ravaged by the powerful machinery
of earth’ crust waking up the granite
with his powerful and sleepy throat, bringing
in his arms the silence of death, leaving
my people crushed in a huge cry of agony
depositing on the in need fingers the crumbs,
many point out accusing you of the malaise
they turn to chase you among the shadows of the sea
in camouflage in shamelessness.
Alone, your blood stain the scattered debris
and the wet flag sweats in the fears
waves hoping the organization of its people,
while, the wood stacked announce the coming
of bonfire marking the hollows through which
life slowly escapes among desperate cries,
Meanwhile the sea with huge slap snatched
households, the loves, hopes, dreams.
All have taken your wound hand to heal
with the throb of million of hearts overwhelmed,
and astonished eyes to wonder until when your long
molded body between the mountains and the sea must
suffer the horrors of new missing persons
that will walk the empty streets pointing out the lies.

Chile

Homenaje a mi esposa

Chile

Chile

Motherland, land of dreams and hopes, strung between the ocean and the mountains, once again your strength and temperance is tested, this time the nature wants to see you on your knees. But the only thing that will see will be tears from the pain of dead, and despair over the destruction, but that time will be transformed in the light of strength that each of its inhabitants has been turn on in their heart.
It is not the first nor do the latter that your people suffer the designs of pain, in this case from nature, but in another circumstance pains caused by other forces outside the idiosyncrasy of its people. The only thing I can tell from afar that you will win to take forward all of your creative imagination which has always been your landmark.

morir…….

That they will not let you die.

Are you being allowed to die?
Because by your skin will run the summer
or because your fingers pluck the petals of

the morning,
or your eyes plucked the needle of life,
I do not want to dry the spring
of your sap.

Are you being allowed to die?
while some see the stars falling,
others, look with indifference the travel
of the lie with the speed of bullets,
some take a nap in a nearby square,
others with heads down walk
the dimensional line of their lives.

Are you being allowed to die?
The flower in your hands is converted into a bird
the air turn into a stealthy fish,
the sun covers her face withthe veil
of shame,
your body is envelops by the simun

in the frenzy of their dance.

I beg with my voice that they will not let you
die.......

The reasons.

I don’t know which is the reason that led me
to this state of terror and fear,
maybe........
the lies of those who have assumed
property of wars,
those who embrace in the sleepless nights
the shadows of its dead,
may be the reason of the unhinge
of the cut-throats of the night, could
be the beating of rain upon the rocks,
or the drill making holes into the nakedness of the
wood.
I don’t know which is the reason for my dismay,
maybe ... ...
I'm in an endless choreography
where the turns in time to the cadence
move me irretrievably further away from your
silhouette blurred between the sediments,
I would dilute the stains that stifle
our reasons and to arrange between
my things outside the horrors, only
waiting to be used properly,
my grief has left its mark on
the rough surface of my skin full
of boils suppurating the blows of time.
I don’t know which is the reason for shame,
maybe ... ...
the elements have been transformed
losing the sense, and my face escapes
in the twist of streets that do not recognize,
I run to catch up out of breath
I do not know, it disappears among the ornaments
to groom a doll garments,
I dare not cross the path that
separated me from the ends and less of the
approximation of your body, warm maybe
by the summer sun.

La tijera

La tijera

Bailemos.

Bailemos al ritmo
de las luces
golpeando los techos de las casas
dancemos los minutos
que transgreden el ritmo absoluto
de la cadencia de tus caderas,
dejemos sueltos
nuestros cuerpos
para sentir los tremores
viajando la fiebre de la sangre.

Bailemos la eléctrica cadencia
suave, tibia

Sencillamente,
quiero bailar contigo.

Let's dance.
Let’s dance to the rhythm of the light
hitting the rooftops
let us dance the minutes
that transgressing the absolute beat
the pulse of your hips,
let loose
our bodies
to feel the tremors
traveling the fever of the blood.
Let's dance the electric cadence
soft, warm
which runs through the heavenly sound of the air
until to be exhausted
until to feel the song of the fish,
until the velvety dawn
until to see the dark side
of ancient stars,
until a long kiss
seal the break of the fireflies.
Let's dance the strenuous dance
of our passions,
I will not let the time
interrupted cadence
of your hands sketching
the great hope of life
I will not let the breathing
of your skin drying out the fountain
where birds in transit
leave the heat of their flights,
I will not let the wind
snatch the simplicity of your lines.
Simply
I want to dance with you.

El eterno retorno

El eterno retorno

Mariposas.

Butterflies.
Must be important that we see
between the lines of your eyes, this look
wrap in the fluttering of the butterflies,
and the gentle smoke of a cigarette
balancing in the ashtray,
while, still on the horizon we can
see the shadow of the majestic flight
of the swans.
I see in your view the sense of things,
the knowledge of the rain in the nude
landscape of the larch, silent sentinels of
the stars, between your eyelids I distinguish
the maturity of the fruit, the shrill singing
of the crickets, and sometimes your wishes
lush gender.
Feeling that your pupil is fixed on the heart
shifting from side to side, and a
single look the trees change the color
of its leaves, when make eloquent out
to the moon, that hidden among the nightly

dogs’ barking.
I read on the page of your eyes the intention
of old travelers traveling the paths
where the caravans will move again
bringing from remote places spices
with which you bath your tired skin.
In the twilight of the afternoon the butterflies
close your eyes to take you

at the foot of the mountain.

tu tragedia.

Haiti, from your pain.

From the deep rumble, the elements
single rose with the fury from the terrors
leaving its path of death with the extermination
of a people in pain, ravaged by the lies
of those who have squeeze your image and soul.
The monumental serpent of fire that travels
your belly deep in the Caribbean Sea, aroused
sinking in the morass of crazed death,
that is unashamedly seal your fate in the madness
of your tears and the outcome at the end of the day.
From the deep rumble of the elements
you will raise your ebony head demanding
your right to decide your fate, you are wounded
but all together demand respect for your
sore geography.

The stars have been caught unexpectedly
by the hands of solidarity that have taken
one by one to cover the forehead of your people
and deposit the support of many who mourn
your tragedy.

I am the blue voice of the words.

I am the blue voice of the words
crossing the mist and the air
bringing the breath of dreams
I travel the open stretches
in the furrows of the earth, I wet
with my blood the roots of the
giant trees growing
deep into the sides of my
mountains.
I am the blue voice of the words
that clean the wounds of war;
I am the hope that with long stride of hell

will defeat the lies, that flood

the distances between
my eyes from the objects.
I am the blue voice of the words
to break the shackles of the shame,
the insults, I am the breath that will mitigate
the wounds of your old torture, at least
I am,
the one that will cover you

with the warmth of my wings
and my hair will contain
the blood from your wounds.

Mi America

Mi America

Las luces.

Es así, cuando las luces todavía

no se dejan vislumbrar entre

el ruido pertinaz, ya las voces

de los conspiradores recorren

las calles, con sus viejos pregones

llevando la muerte como

emblema en sus lenguas,

los árboles tratan de cubrir

los pasos de los que son buscados

no quieren prolongar las agonías,

no quieren las zozobras arrastradas

en el silencio lúgubre de las mazmorras.

Es así, en un día cualquiera

las huestes oscuras de la infamia

se descuelgan entre las tinieblas,

no descansan se estrenan

día a día, juegan a la muerte,

la persiguen en los patios aledaños,

entre las cornizas carcomidas

de sus barracas, muestran flamantes

armas recién sacadas de los navios

venidos del norte,

usan oscuros libretos que inculcan

el libertinaje absoluto de la tortura.

Es así, su teatro cuenta capítulos

repetidos de asonadas militares,

de contubernios apócrifos,

de desaparecidos, de festines

celebrando símbolos fácticos

de bancos fantasmas, emblemas

socrosantos, frailes pederestas,

senadores y diputados coludidos

mamadores de la democracía.

The lights.

Thus, when the lights still
do not let not glimpse between
the persistent noise, now the voices
of the conspirators travel through
the streets with their old proclaim
carrying the death as
emblem in their languages,
The tree will try cover
the footsteps of those who are wanted
they do not want to prolong the agony,
do not want the worries dragged
in the gloomy silence of the dungeons.
Thus, on any given day
the dark armies of infamy
come down between the darkness,
will not rest they training
every day, playing death,
pursued in the neighboring yards,
between the crumbling cornices
of their barracks, are brand new
weapons straight out from the ships
coming from the north,
they use dark scripts that inculcate
absolute debauchery torture.
Thus, his theater tell repeated

chapters of military uprisings,
of conspiracies apocryphal,
disappear, of feasts
celebrating factual symbols
of ghost banks, emblems
sacrosanct, friars pederast,
congressmen colluded
wangle of democracy.

dreamed.

I dreamed that the voices of those
who died in the treacherous
betrayals rose, between

the sweet voices of the araucarias.
I dreamed that from the horizon
I could see the farmland
turgid, where the song
of the men calm down
the pain spread,
and clean the fume
from the calm waters
of the ocean.
I dreamed that the stars left
their silence, to dance
around the euphoria
of your heart getting caught
your hands between the first
flowers of the time.

I dreamed that all staunches
the blood dripping from
the deepest wound of the earth,
blood that oxidizes the feelings,
and dye the faces with dire predictions,
and with its heavy smell permeated
the elytrum of the beetles.

La estrella se desangra.

La estrella se desangra

Victor Jara.

Viva Victor Jara.

Manos.

Miro las manos ya ajadas
partidas por la tierra
sin dejar de pensar, que hubo
caminos que no recorrieron
perdidas en los contornos de la
montaña y con la hoz
cortando el verde simiente
de los sueños.
Manos cuarteadas por el sudor
al extraer los secretos de lo
más profundos de la tierra,
manos gentiles, tibias
que acurrucaron entre los nervios
y los brazos los nuevos
frutos de su amor irrefrenable,
manos firmes que podando
naranjos y rosas fueron
dando pinceladas que
cambiaron el celeste del espacio.

Miro tus manos y sus dedos
saliendo veloces al encuentro
de la solución de las cosas,
los veo reparando el arado
rompiendo la dura tierra,
preparando los ingredientes
del amasijo, moviendo
las cortinas para atisbar en
reflejo del rocio
las primeras estrellas
recortadas en el manto
negro de la noche, manos
constructoras de sueños,
de esperanzas trabajadas
de sol a sol
aún en días de desesperos.

Victor Jara.
These three of December, our country will wear the best clothes, as it will give burial to one of the most important Chilean of this quarter of century. I mean Victor Jara, artist despicable murdered by the black hordes that covered our story with the most friable crimes that a human being can commit against another, which is supposed to consider them children of the same country. It's time to try to heal the wounds we have so deeply divided. Since the comrade Victor Jara is the epitome of a fighter who just with his singing and strive to create fought for a just society where all would be respected and heard. In all platforms and scenarios his voice presented the image of a country united and the nobility that had characterized the clear message of peace and solidarity among men. His image is burned into the collective conscience of our people, who long ago placed it between one of our most beloved heroes. Neither forgets nor forgives. Viva Victor Jara.

Hands.

Look the withered hands
cracked for the soil
without stop to thinking that there was
paths not traveled
lost in the contours of the
mountain and with the scythe
cutting the green seed
of dreams.
Chapped hands by the sweat
to extract the secrets from the
deepest on earth,
gentle hands, warm
that curled between nerves
and arms the new
fruits of his irrepressible love,
steady hands that pruning
orange tree and roses were
giving brushing that
changed the celestial space.
I look at your hands and fingers
going faster to meet
the solution of things,
I see them repairing the plow
breaking the hard ground,
preparing the ingredients
for the dough, moving
the curtains to peer into
reflection of the dew
the first stars
cut in the black mantle
of the night, hands
builders of dreams,
and hopes worked
from sunrise to sunset
even in days of despair.

El pájaro de la noche.

El pájaro de la noche

Se desprende el océano.

Se desprende el océano con un ruido

ensordecedor, su alarido se deja

sentir entre las ruinas milenarias

descoloridas por el sol,

su llanto acalló el ruido

de los grillos en las noches tórridas

de amor.

El hombre desgarra la geografía

dejando las marcas adoloridas

de sus horrores, y las huellas

de la sangre han circunscrito

los límites de los habitants,

seres inexistentes en el vacio

de las cosas.

El horizonte

desapareció tragado por

los estallidos, no pudo escapar

al rasgamiento de las carnes.

Se desprende el océano de su

arraigo en un galope encabritado

llevando en la grupa nuestros

sueños de risas,

su galope trata de alcanzar

los ecos de aquellos que esquivan

las balas asesinas, cantando

el canto de los pueblos.

The ocean dislodges.

The ocean dislodges with a
deafening noise, his scream its
felt among the ancient ruins
bleached by the sun,
his crying silence the noise
of crickets at the torrid night
of love.

The man rips the geography
leaving painful marks
of its horrors, and the traces
of the blood have been

circumscribe the limits

 of the habitants,
beings without existence

in the vacuum of things.

The horizon
disappeared swallowed by
the outbursts, he could not escape
the ripping of the flesh.

The ocean dislodge from his
rooted in a rearing up gallop
holding in his rump our
dreams of laughter,
its gallop try to reach
the echoes of those who dodge
the murderous bullets, singing
the singing of the people.

Section 60.

Section 60 of Arlington Cemetery in Washington,
which are buried most of the fallen in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The gravestones rose as nails
from the frozen land
trying to pierce the clouds
in a final attempt to escape
death.
The slow shade of the trees
drown the sound of tears,
sometimes the wind brings the dreadful

thunder of war,
There are moments in the day
that the secrecy of the leaves
break the white cadence
of the horizon scattering
among the names that are entangled
in newly planted grass.
Piece of land where the pain
woven a subtle fabric of sadness
where the moments of smiles
are light escaping between the wings
of birds,
there are no songs of praise
only we see withered cheeks
by inconsequential sadness.
The rows are clean, intact,
white waiting for the order
to navigate the fathomless sea
of spirits seeking a reason
for the future of their souls.

Sirena.

La sirena

Resulta.

espero no desvelar tu sueños,
solo quisiera besar tus labios
que llenos de almibar me
transportarán al suave susurro
de nuestro océano donde muchas
veces pudimos limpiar los enojos.

Voy a intentar abrir tus puños
que permanecen apretados
por los golpes que la vida
te ha sabido dar,
cuando ya estén abiertos voy
a depositar el jolgorio de
nuestros nietos, que por la
virtud de la vida nos han
de llevar a nuestro renacimiento.

Intentaré por enésima vez cubrir
los elementos de tu cuerpo
con un dibujo donde el carboncillo
produzca el trazo rápido de
tu sonrisa.

The nap.

I would retry the subtle task

to touch you at the moment of the nap

I hope not to awake your dreams,

I just want to kiss your lips filled with syrup

they transported me to the soft whisper

of our ocean where many times

we clean up our anger.

I will try to open your fists

that remain tight by the blows

that life has succeeded in giving you,

when they are open

I will deposit the revelry of our grandchildren,

that under the virtue of life we have to lead our revival.

I try for the umpteenth time cover the elements

of your body a drawing with charcoal

will produce the rapid stroke your smile.

Sometimes the day I would not like.

There are times during the day

I would not see freight trains

and their pounding obtuse on the rails,

I do not like to see the tall chimneys

sending their messages of poisons,

I do not like to see on the beach

the tailing of fishes dying

or the fire devastating the forest

I would throw the box of lies

to the ravine of things already dead

I would not like to see the wounds

of the those who do not have nothing,

and crawling in the icy pavement

crying the pain of their empty stomachs.

There are times during the day

who would not enter in the room of memories,

or pick apples hanging of the branches of neighbor

I would not like to cross with those

who have been my enemies,

I would cover my ears and not listen

the murderous bullets crossing

space in search of innocent,

or the quarrels of lovers

with cries discordant break

the stillness of the walls.

There are times during the day

who would not set foot on the ice floor

when the monotonous sound of the clock

invoke me the awakening in the morning,

well ... There are times in the day

that I will not do anything ....
