El llamado/ The call

 The call.

The choking screams break

the silence of the clouds

on any given morning

piercing pierce the soft

flower texture,

only birds are capable

to distinguish the sound of the prayers,

of the calls launched into space

is the cry of those who ask

the fair distribution of the loaves

of those who demand to collect

the word equality

with the dignity of those who claim

a smile at the end of the day,

of those who ask for a fair wage

at the end of a day,

are the screams of all the whipped

by the hidden faces of greed

by the crouched hands

in the pockets of usury

by the brutal scourge of the executioners on duty

for undesirable dystopia

of the new society,

even the stones receive the echoes

of the fears transmitted

in the depths of the signs.

The just calling party

of all who march in pursuit

of solidarity eyes,

of fraternal hands crying out

peace, the collapse of hatred,

waiting for the myriad of hearts

rooted in our land,

of the bodies covered by the bequests

of a nauseating story

looking for the arrival of new hopes.

Quisiera poder ver las cosas de otra manera./I wish I could see things differently.

tal vez poder caminar

I wish I could see things differently.

I couldn't get out of my head

the pain and the sounds of war,

there are times that I dream your lies

democratic,

I see myself on the cusp of glory

but the smell of scars

they hit my sore face

showing me the daily path

full of lies.

I would like to see things differently,

maybe be able to walk

in the evening charm

between the soft sound of the waters

or riding on a fish,

or kick a pebble with the toe

or just clean the furniture

covered with clouds.

I would like to see things differently

go through old geographies

or the winding banks of the rivers,

shout the joys of my children's dreams

change the movement of the stars

with the single stroke of a brush,

or draw your smile covering the shadow of the moon.

I would like to make love to you between walls

sweating from complancing lovesiera poder ver las cosas de otra manera.

Levantemos los puños /Let's raise our fists

Levantemos los puños.

(Honor a celestino Córdova)

Los ojos de miles de nosotros

graban en sus pupilas los nombres

de los lonkos, heroicos campeadores

luchando por  recuperar sus dignidades

ultrajadas,

Let's raise our fists

(Honor to Celestino Córdova)

The eyes of thousands of us

engrave names in their pupils

of the lonkos, heroic champions

fighting to regain their dignities

outraged,

of the dispossession of their lands

that mark the territory of the araucarias

with vigor and pride they carry

hand in hand the insignia of the struggle,

fight etched in the memory of its people,

we must raise our fists

and respectfully name their martyrs,

our martyrs:

Matias Catrileo, present

Camilo Catrillanca, present

Alex Lemus, present.

The atavistic kultrun with his languid

sound calls the four cardinal points

for the Nguillatu and the ancestral song

of his warriors not to surrender in front

to the profaners of the earth

to the usurpers traffickers of lies,

to whom blood is only an exchange

to the monsters created behind the scenes

of power.

Por solo nombrar/ Just to name

Por solo nombrar.

“Nombrar mal las cosas solo

agrega desgracia al mundo”

decía Albert Camus.

Por solo nombrar las trépalas que caminan

tomadas de las manos,

ufanas,

Just to name.

“Naming things wrong just

adds disgrace to the world "

Albert Camus said.

Just to name the lies that walk

holding hands,

proud,

with the sun facing the front …….

children die amid the horrors of famine

bombs fall leaving only the sinister footprint

of blood but they are not bombs they are

voices instigating the cover-up of lies

dirty hands indicate with their index

to those beings who instigate the invariable confusion

the atmosphere of deceit suffocating dreams,

repression of the eyes looking at the sides of the heart.

Just to name the color of the flowers in the summer

the repressive shadow of late-night voices

they point you through the windows of doubts,

for asking for the right thing in yours they accuse you of having gaps

the ones that trying to cross them will sink you into the swamp,

or he who dislikes poverty hides it

in the fluorescent warning of the boulevards,

or that when crossing the street you do it thinking

in the outpouring of lights.

Just to name the accelerated rictus

of those who believe in the pandemic

in the invented PCR shortcuts

in the realms of science,

in the infinite eyes of those who suffer bungling,

in hunger incubated by governments

sold for their hunger for riches

they don't see the sunken soup spoons

in meals made in the common way

in the heavenly saviors of homelands

flooded by the disaster of the indigence.

Just to name the ocean that crosses

the light blue news

with misleading names for the ear

the companion, the population, the needy

throwing his hand at the passers-by.

Maestro.

Dedico estas palabras como gratitud

a mi maestro Waldo González Herve.

Maestro.

I dedicate these words as gratitude

to my teacher Waldo González Herve.

Maestro.

I learned with you the hidden meaning

of those simple shapes treasured on the table,

of the stroke locked in the apple

showing hidden images

in its pulp.

I remember your trimmed figure

in the window opening,

(with the everlasting cigar hanging

from your fingers)

window from where we peeked

the birth of a just homeland.

With You Decipher The Metamorphosis

of the tangled lines in the lattice

of the sketches,

amid the rhythmic noise of the chisels,

the smoothness of the clay, the ineffable laughter

of colleagues hugging the hallways,

we were able to conquer your fire

bold of the drawings that have escaped

creating new mythologies and dreams.

I thank you for giving us

the profile of your designs,

that have to go forever

the silky skin of our people,

I thank you,

with the most elemental of my voice.

The breaking of dreams.

(Following the rains.)

Everything breaks, the air is not able to touch my skin

the emptiness of the days breaks the peace of the doves

the water has stopped wetting the roots of the trees

trivial things change the course of the winds

your eyes were clouded with the highest of jealousy,

the rays of light have left the space of dreams

and the stars avoid the silence of the night.

Everything breaks, eyes stop seeing reality

birds pick up rot from the ground

of other people's garbage thrown by laziness,

Nowhere is enveloping the obtuse fever of travelers

with their empty orbits bathed in hate,

the voices turn into a hoax

bathed in the gift of lying livelihoods

from the mud the feet of the sunken neighbors

in the everlasting manure of drains

built between meetings of deceit and spoil.

Everything breaks, tired arms can't

lift the tools of life, dissolve

our figures in laziness and melodramatic smiles

the metallic voice of lawmakers fill

ozone with other mornings, or the coming of better

days wrapped like candy in tissue paper.

Everything breaks every morning, in the idiot box

the cunning man sells the potion of his sweetened lies

in the hallucination of his nightmares,

the necromancer hallucinates the worlds crossed

of galaxies absent in their spaces,

the madhouse brings back hopes

hidden in hospitals where only death

is able to define the truths of life,

where the tears like stalagmite when falling

hearts climb.

Everything breaks, the improbable water lets run

its torrent through the earth stiff with fear

reaching as far as the eyes lose

the meaning of the horizon,

we see astonished faces, broken by the sudden,

days go by the weariness of hours

bursting the walls with putrid water

water corroding the corner of the lips

of hesitant citizens waiting

the outburst of heavenly horns.

Everything breaks in the stillness of the eyes.

Reptil/ Reptile

eruptando falsedades y mentiras
con sus dientes falsos y anodinos
el polvo de la calle que respires.

El reptil opaco de la noche

babaea su veneno desde las estrellas

dejando caer el sutil silencio

de la muerte encajada entre los puños

inerte de los que callan su mutismo.

Reptile.

Slowly in the immensity of things

the reptile of lies shrinks its tail

trying to poison the subtleties

and the dawn of the morning.

Slow crawling leaving your path

the perceptible smell of deaths

hanging in the sunset areas

and her sharp eyes, already inert.

The drool falls out prolonged

leaving behind a rancid smell,

silence to the blow of his laugh

crouched, with no love.

muddies the road with its shadow

erupting falsehoods and lies

with its false and bland teeth

the dust from the street that you breathe.

The opaque reptile of the night

drools its poison from the stars

dropping the subtle silence

of death wedged between fists

inert of those who silence their silence.

risas grandilocuentes, ojos vivaces

  1.  Nothing, the dilemma of lies.

Nothing is kept in the mist of the clouds

everything has lost its balance between lies,

hoaxes of pests that dissolve in the traffic

all things have fallen into the void of nothingness,

your face is lost in the mask nebula

the streets are sad specters receiving

the stories of passers-by lost in chaos

of deceit, in the lie of solitude,

in the senseless voice, in the permission of my freedom

in the bulky figure of arms

or the ridiculous disguise of force.

Nothing means anything anymore, laws, and sweetened voices

bombastic laughter, lively eyes

of morning clowns and meaningless crying

is the sale of mellifluous voices of peddlers

of cloying faces auctioning off poverty,

empty-eyed looking at the bottom of the absence,

the sick only debate in silence

of machines, of deceitful ministers

selling the potions of tomorrow

looking for the seat of the initiates.

It seems only the domain of nothing

a plague that comes and another that comes

nothing is worth even one-eyed death

nor the muffled cry of those who ask for a crust,

better the sun toasting the face

or the northern rain drowning tears,

what will be, the laughter wrapped in salt

or the eyes hidden in fear,

it will be the death of twilight,

 the twilight of dreams,

the sudden death of laughter.

Abrazo/ Hug

Abrazo.

Quiero abrazarte

bajo los paltos transparentes

y recorrer tu cuerpo

con el aliento de los grillos,

ver tus ojos revoloteando

entre los jazmines

perdiéndose en el deslinde

de los desvarios.

Quiero abrazarte

juventud.

En el frenesí de tu mirada

se han acumulado todas

las palabras nunca dichas

en una marejada de deseos.

Es solo un abrazo ante

de volver a la pausa

de mis ajetreos y dejarme

perder entre las migajas

de los deberes.

Quiero abrazarte

junto a la inmensidad

del horizonte

abrir tú corazón

y viajar entre los escollos

de las venas para sentir

el ardor de tus ojos

a la hora del amor.

Quiero abrazarte

igual que el sol

a la mañana.

Hug.

I want to hug you

under the transparent avocado trees

and tour your body

with the breath of the crickets,

see your eyes fluttering

among the jasmines

getting lost in the demarcation

of the delusions.

I want to hug you

at the time of the afternoon tedium

and let ourselves be carried by

whirlwind of kisses

for those landscapes of our

youth.

In the frenzy of your gaze

they have all accumulated

the words never said

in a tidal wave of desires.

It's just a hug before

back to pause

of my hustle and leave me

lose between the crumbs

of homework.

I want to hug you

next to the vastness

from the horizon

open your heart

and travel between the reefs

from the veins to feel

the burning of your eyes

at the time of love.

I want to hug you

just like the sun

in the morning.

Sylvia Plath

Sylvia Plath.

Fervientemente creo que los

pájaros esparcieron cadejos

de tu pelo entre las nubes

de Massachussets,

y tus ojos envolvieron el firmamento

con el dulce sonido de tu voz

dándole nombre a todas las cosas

que tocaron tu corazón.

Con la virtud de tu piel transparente

fuiste capaz de encontrar

las fronteras perdidas de la razón,

y con el cristal de tu aliento

el verde del jade hace renacer nuevos

colores en las flores,

nuestros dioses rezan al sol por

todos los muertos enterrados

entre piedras y lodo,

y el espejo que cuelga en mi

habitación me transporta al lago

donde un día bañaste tus manos

en aguas heladas que han servido

a los menesteres de la vida.

 Sylvia Plath.

I fervently believe that the

birds scattered head of hair

in the clouds of Massachusetts,

and your eyes enveloped the sky

with the sweet sound of your voice

giving names to all things

that touched your heart.

With the virtue of your transparent skin

you were able to find

the lost borders of reason,

and with the glass of your breath

the green jade revives

 the colors in the flowers,

our gods pray to the sun

for all the dead buried

 between rocks and mud,

and the mirror hanging in my

room transports me to the lake

where one day you bathe your hands

in the icy waters that have served

to the necessities of life.

recogerla, darle vida nueva

A star.

I want a star
that, wound in the south of torture
I want to put it on the drawing
sparkly
perhaps for the memory of my children ...

I want a star
that cold in pain
pick it up, give it new life
maybe to keep her in my captivity ...

I want a star
that, printed on your word
take it to put a flower
in its center
maybe for a spring drive…

I want a star
that, which contemplates death
have it in my hand maybe for the poet who
maybe it increases hopes ...

I want a star
that, with a tender look pointing towards fate
take it in the softness of my desires
maybe to keep it in my heart ...

cubre tu rostro depositando
el vuelo quieto de las luciérnagas.

Twilight.

Already the twilight disappears indelibly
between the folds of your skin leaving
a breath of mystery, which must be lost
between unknowns and questions.

The minutes break the sound
hidden on the horizon,
your hands seek peace in a simple
bread that covers the table.

The parsimony of our eyes is broken
seeing the dissolution of the colors
magnificent, landscapes destroyed
by the rage of demons
that crawl on the earth.

Already the twilight covers with its breath
the last death rattles of the sun
while we regroup
the strengths despite the lies.

In this way the dark tulle of the night
cover your face by depositing
the motionless flight of the fireflies.
