Fueron solo algunos segundos del tiempo
inefable que escurridizo
trataste de borrar,
cuando en un salto fenomenal
las estrellas perplejas vieron pasar tu cuerpo
en el delgado aire de las maravillas,
dejastes las esperanzas engarzadas entre las faldas
del Villarrica,
la patria en un salto triple de su geografia
elevó el palpitar de los corazones
para iluminar los azahares
de nuestros héroes que junto a los Ngen-winkul
espíritus dueños de nuestras montañas
germinarán los músculos y pétalos
de los próximos gimnastas y weichafes.
Los sueños de ese instante ya comenzaron
a elaborar el intrincado tejido de tu proeza,
que mañana se convertirán en los triunfos
valederos de jovenes soñando con colocar
entre sus cabellos las estrellas de nuestro cielo.

the stars bewildered saw your body cross
in the thin air of wonders,
you leave the hopes strung between the slopes
of Villarrica,
the country in a triple jump of geography
raised the beating of hearts
to illuminate the orange blossoms
of our heroes alongside Ngen-winkul
spirit owners of our mountains
germinating muscles and petals
of the next gymnasts and weichafes.
The dreams of that moment began
to develop the intricate fabric of your prowess,
that tomorrow will become the triumphs
to be worth of young dreaming to place
in between their hair the stars from our sky.
