El arte como una
forma de sanación.
El
poder de la sanación por medio del arte juega un papel relevante en el
desarrollo del espíritu, el alma y la mente en cualquier cultura. Como
artista, doy origen a mis imágenes utilizando nuestro universo mágico que
impregna nuestra herencia latinoamericana, tratando de utilizarlo con el mismo
respeto y significado que mis antepasado lo hicieron. Otro factor
importante de es proceso de sanación es que el arte latinoamericano en su
concepción multiforme y deslumbrante mantiene el mismo ritmo desde sus orígenes
remotos con la frescura y un sentido de pureza que superara a los
conquistadores españoles y su nueva ideología de poder y muerte, que
impuso a troche y moche por la espada y la cruz. El arte tiene que
desempeñar un importante papel como enlace entre las culturas originarias y
las nuevas fuentes de pensamientos que buscan la perfeción del hombre en
su entorno, y el encontrar las respuestas al de porque los hombres se
matan unos a otros sin ningún remordimiento y compasión. La metamórfosis
del arte conduce a la trascendencia del ser humano. Esta metamórfosis produce
el poder de sanar y vivir en armonía con la naturaleza. A través de la
naturaleza de la perfección estética nos encontramos con nuestra propia
identidad y nuestros vínculos con el medio ambiente.
Cuando
produzco mi obra de arte, especialmente mis máscaras sigo el camino de mis
ancestros que vivían en un mundo concreto y simbólico. De este este mismo modo
trato de reflejar en mi obra un
significado concreto y simbólico con el fin de obtener el conocimiento sobre
los recursos naturales. Mis antepasados trataron de transformarse en cada uno
de los elementos de la naturaleza, elementos que en su esencia real no
tienen principio ni fin. El es el adorador y adorado, el asesino y la víctima.
Trato de imprimir en mis máscaras todas las expresiones y significados de los
seres humanos en este mundo vasto y amplio (como el individualismo y el
comportamiento criminal, las emociones, etc.) Trato de mirar en mi propia
identidad y la lucha por calzar esta en el humanismo innato. A pesar de
nuestros continuos trastornos políticos y violencia, creo que el hombre debe tener
sólidas raíces culturales, con un fuerte sentido de cual es nuestro lugar de
origen en esta historia.
The power of
healing by the means of art plays a relevant role in the development of
the spirit, the soul and the mind of any culture. As an artist, I create all my
imagery using all the gods from my latino American heritage with the same
respect as my ancestor did.
Another important factor, is the dazzling multiform
art that maintains the same rhythm since its remote origins. With freshness and
a sense of purity thata surpassed the Spanish conqueror and their new ideology
of crime and death, which was imposed by the sword and the cross. Art must play
an important role as a liaison between primal culture and these new fountains
of thoughts because men are killing each other without any remorse.
The metamorphosis of art, leads to the transcendence
of human being. This metamorphosis will lead to the power of healing and living harmony with nature. Trough natures aesthetics perfection we encounter our
identity and our bond with the environment.
When I produce my art work, especially my masks I
continue the path of my primal ancestor who lived in a concrete and symbolic
world. In this same way I reflect concrete and symbolic meaning in my art in
order to gain control over the natural.
My primal ancestor tried to become one with the elements, which had not
beginning and no end. He become the worshiper and worshipped, the killer nad
victim, in a palace the force of life was given and received. I give to my mask
all the expressions and meanings of people in this vast and huge world (sucha
as individualism and criminal behavior). I try to look into my identity and the
struggle for my identity to find that innate humanism. Despite our continuous
political upheavals and vilence, I believe the view that man must have firm
cultural roots, with a strong sense of our place of origin in this history.
