Attemp to define a conception of art.
Freud hesitated all his life between two interpretations of the artistic fact: one to consider it as sublimation and the other as liberation, but it seems that in the end he inclines to the pessimistic (sublimation) position, for which art would be a gratification  neurotic substitutive of the artists in that clash between the principles of pleasure and the principle of negation, illusion in contrast with reality, in this sublimatory vision art is the opium of the peoples, is the escape to an unreal world of fantasy, indistinguishable from a neurosis, despite much of modern art confirms a lot this theory, in "humor and subconscious," Freud seems to understand that art is much more than a reflection of the neurosis of artists in that clash between the principles of pleasure and the principle of reality, the alternatives that presents are to give up the instincts (pleasure) yielding to the reality or viceversa to surrender to the reality by the instincts (pleasure). Art needs to be playful to achieve, thanks to its play and its charm, to fascinate reason, who is the keeper of the principle of reality and escape with the mind through the long labyrinths of the imagination. There are two ways of escaping reality one is madness and the other the imagination. Madness destroys reality, reducing it to a heap of chaotic ruins, from which only ideas that are not realizable can come out. In contrast, imagination also destroys reality, but unlike madness, it reorders its ruins coherently to build a new reality made of realizable ideas. In this case art becomes a liberating mechanism because it reorders these materials of the subconscious in a constructive way, releasing the libido in the creation of realizable experiences in life. For the siconalists of the beginning of the century (Freud, Jung), art is a product of a subconscious tendency that owns the artist and that transforming it into his instrument makes it the vehicle of psychic subconscious life. For Jung, more than for Freud, this possession of the artist by the subconscious is caused by the collective subconscious of humanity, which leads him to create works that rise above the personal and therefore having a social utility, in addition, adding to this That this creation must awaken resonance in groups of individuals. Since the rupture of the cultural canon framed in the Judeo-Christian values of Western culture, critics have transposed their ideas into a chaotic conception of a modern art that transcends the neuroses of their incoherent personalities, though it is useless for those who Modern art that is sublimated thus is harmful and harmful to the viewer to whom such works will not produce any emotional energy, but instead leave them empty, and what is worse will make him believe that he is not up to the task to understand the work Of art, in short the art fruit of personal obsessions is elitist useful only for its author. For art to play a social function must be transpersonal, capturing, summarizing and intensifying the great issues of society in the concrete conditions in which it lives. Within this analysis we can not fail to mention one of the most important events in the history of mankind being this October revolution, which gradually changes the physiognomy of man and his environment worldwide in relation to the economic, cultural And the social. In those years, not only does the creative and innovative spirit in art rise to an unsuspected height, but for the first time an uncharted social space is discovered. This new space does not seek to reflect a new attitude towards life, but rather to form and build it and with an integrated art in the company of humanization of the environment that the socialist man demands. The leader of the October Revolution, Lenin says, "Proletarian culture has to be the logical development of the wealth of knowledge conquered by humanity under the yoke of capitalist society, of the landowners' society and and bureaucrats.”Lenin is not in favor of suppressing or limiting any artistic or aesthetic current, nor adopting official measures to favor one of them and obstruct the others, does not appeal to the power of the state, the party or its own authority to To tilt the balance in one direction or another, yet his artistic choice is precise: to fight for a popular art, understood as a direct expression of the aspirations or ideas of socialism, as an art understandable to the masses and as an educational and mobilizing factor At the same time as the conjunction of the emerging socialism in Europe, the first manifestations of a movement with a clear language and discourse are generated in this game of the subconscious and conscious world and the obsetion of the vital and the defense of man as something Which is the novelty of this movement was the belief that art does not have a function in itself, which is a mode of expression of the vital in man and for them art and man form a connotative unity, this Movement was called: sub-realism. The fundamental concern of the sub-realists was always the concrete man, his need to realize himself and to know his desires, his dreams, his passions, his deep soul world, his eagerness to transcend his craving for authenticity in the face of an artificial society; entangled by absurd ethical and social norms, will also confront and analyze what is called bourgeois spirit with all its immovable norms and principles which becomes the favorite target of this movement. Adding that the word "bourgeois" surpasses for them the simple sign of the philistinism of a social class, it means the petrification "of what should not be done" "of the forbidden" the activities and preoccupations of the members of subrealismo tended to produce a Profound alteration in the scale of values, both ethically and culturally, and which has no doubt influenced powerfully the men of the present generation. Linked to all this kind of question about the conduct of art and its influence on human beings we have to say that all this is linked to the fact that happens in a real world of agitation work and nature, and specifically in artists this perception of order reigning from the beginning is heightened, adding the fact that the history of art makes brilliant contributions products of the research of currents and artistic movements of the past.
The most relevant contribution to the understanding of the game of art as a system of economic value within the pharisaic mercantilism of the "patrons" or "philanthropists" are the investigations of Karl Marx on art in the precapitalist stage, in this transition from precapitalism to rebirth , The artists were classified as workers, as artisans. In artisan production, those who dominated were the guilds of the artists, in which the craftsman went to the guild and worked in the guild, and the work of art that he made did not become a value of change, he did not go to the market, regime of production, capitalist, spread throughout Europe, with all these antecedents we can say with absolute certainty that modern art is born as a function of imperialism, a function of the expansion of the old European countries to Africa and America. The anthropologists of the time discovered in the African countries activities of cultural order of a great quality, the black art taken to Paris had a capital importance on the Cubism one of the most representative artists of the last century Pablo Picasso underwent the influence of the discovered black art To that end in Europe. These same anthropologists discovered with terror that peoples outside of European civilization were able to do work that they did not have the courage to say were works of art. All branches of the social sciences conceived art as the product of capitalist development alone, such as European art, Greco-Roman art, and Renaissance art. About half a century ago, it was begun to think that African "fetishes" were beautiful as the best European sculptures. As a corollary we can add to this decadence of modern art, that all the great masterpieces of Europe are no better than the pre-Columbian monuments. This is a real and indisputable fact. Because, as I say above, it raises the hypothesis that the backward peoples with their vernacular arts were not important because they did not imply anything for the economic, industrial technological development of the old European civilizations, which had already managed to demarcate the environments of what really had to be defined as art or masterpiece, within the parameters of private property, which fell in direct contradiction with the social function of art. In conclusion, I can affirm that the human being by nature is a creative being, and it is our duty as people working in this creative universe to reestablish the human being as an individual by creative nature, on any working field that is found.
