Los espíritus/ The spirits.

La paz de los caballos.

(La paz de los caballos The peace of the horses)

The spirits.

The spirits blow out the skin

in a macabre dance

carrying between her fingers

the knots of old disputes

immersed in the wombs

of mythological beings, belching

the smelly fog of despair.

My skin expands within the limits

duties and assets,

It is dyed in extent by touching

with indigo bushes,

mirages dance with the heat of the earth

but the sun, sullen denies pleasure

and with a curt nod

engulfs the shadows cast.

The spirits blow out the skin,

the lines on my face are transformed

in hieroglyphs projected on mirrors

that from within your heart

are linked to the fate and doubts

from this world.

Camino / Road.

Soñando.

(Soñando/ Dreaming)

Camino.

Path.

The road bifurcate my steps among the mud,

grasslands, wind and dry branches whipping

my face without let me see the landscape

that evaporates in the whisper of birds

I would like to walk without the ties

of the passions or frustrated dreams

for so many wars that bleed me

in the lonely afternoons.

The road stretches into a mirage

frustrated desires, grindstones

embedded in the soles of the feet,

the shoes worn by time,

the dry eyes of the dead

scattered in the vastness of the landscape,

the twisted land without the rain

the underground sounds

carried by the wind.

The road loses its shape

with the resounding passage of refugees

with their eyes lost in memories

cut by the sharp voice of shrapnel,

the sweat and fear cover the dust,

the steps are lost with the weary pain,

the figures are cut diffuse among

the newspaper reports.

The road forks, my gait get lost

in the mist.

Che.

Che

Che.

Tus pupilas se incrustaron en el sol

meridional de nuestra América

para darnos la razón y la fuerza

de nuestra lucha.

Tu sangre se mezclo con la de

Matias Catrileo, weichafe,

guerrero, mapuche,

Victor Jara cantautor, visionario

Che.

Your pupils are embedded in the sun

of our South America

to give us the reason and strength

of our struggle.

Your blood was mixed with

Matias Catrileo, weichafe,

warrior, Mapuche,

Your blood was mixed with

Andrés Jarlan, priest, thinker,

reading the Bible in Victoria

his life was extinguished with the assassin's bullet,

Your blood was mixed with

Victor Jara, songwriter, visionary

of a united Latino America forty bullets

nailed him to the memory of history.

Che, your eyes darted between

the horizon and the Andes mountain

where thousands blended

in your smile looking for a better

hope for our peoples subjugated.

Quiero pensar en algo/I want to think in something.

I want to think in something.

I extend the palm of my hand

in the morning to feel

the first breeze, I look the infinity

of the space trying to translate

the blue that vibrating between

the light beams are cast

among the pine branches

bringing the message of those

who could not escape

the tricks of death,

sometimes I perceive

their faces reflected in the wet

leaves.

I extend the palm of my hand

between air and the images

that project before my eyes,

I try to figure out why they

dye, the color of their skins,

his gait in everyday day

its walks on Sunday afternoons

the school where they study,

why they did leave us

between tears and anxieties,

what were their dreams, perhaps

the same to which I cling to life

or the ideas forged between sweat and shadows.
